Abdirahman Abdishakur Accuses the Somali Government and Puntland Administration

@zamzam_daqareMogadishu, Somalia – The leader of the opposition Wadajir Party, Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame, has strongly criticized the Federal Government of Somalia and the Puntland State Government, accusing them of being politically and security-wise divided. He argued that this division undermines efforts to stabilize the country and combat terrorism.

Abdirahman Abdishakur emphasized that the contradictory statements from Villa Somalia and Puntland regarding the recent U.S. airstrike in Puntland are clear evidence of their deep political divide over security and governance. He pointed out that President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has neither acknowledged Puntland's role nor addressed the ongoing conflict in the region, despite the prolonged military operations. According to him, this indicates the federal government's negligence in security cooperation.

"It is evident that the Federal Government and Puntland are more focused on praising the U.S. and former President Donald Trump than addressing the real security situation in Somalia," said Abdirahman Abdishakur.

He further stated that this lack of coordination raises serious doubts about the Federal Government's ability to effectively manage national security. He insisted that defeating terrorism requires genuine cooperation between all levels of government.
