Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-The Chinese naval hospital ship Peace Ark has arrived in Djibouti for a week-long visit, offering free medical services to the local population from 6 to 13 December. This marks the ship’s third visit to Djibouti, following missions in 2010 and 2017, underscoring the deepening friendship between China and Djibouti.
Equipped with advanced medical facilities and a skilled team, Peace Ark is capable of providing consultations and treatment to 700 patients daily. Its arrival was warmly welcomed by Djiboutian officials, security forces, and representatives from key organizations, reflecting strong bilateral cooperation.
The Peace Ark is currently on its Mission Harmony-2024, having completed a stop in Algeria, where it conducted open-ship activities, welcomed visitors, and engaged in cultural exchanges, including a football match with Algerian counterparts.
The Chinese Embassy in Djibouti expressed gratitude to Djiboutian authorities and institutions for facilitating the mission's success, ensuring that thousands of residents will benefit from the free healthcare services provided.
