Qatar, 23 September 2025 – Djibouti’s Minister of Communication in charge of Posts and Telecommunications, Radwan Abdillahi Bahdon, has met with his Qatari counterpart, Mohamed Al-Manai, Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology, as part of his official visit to Doha, according to the Djibouti News Agency (ADI).
The meeting, held on Monday, was also attended by Djibouti’s Ambassador to Qatar, Dayeb Doubed Robleh, and Aden Abdi Djama, Director General of Radio and Television of Djibouti (RTD).
The discussions focused on a memorandum of understanding already signed between the two countries, aimed at strengthening cooperation in the communications and ICT sectors.
The two Ministers also explored ways of sharing expertise, transferring know-how, and launching joint projects in areas considered strategic for national development and sovereignty.

“We want to go beyond the technical aspects and build a shared vision,” Minister Bahdon said. He also expressed Djibouti’s “strong condemnation” of the recent Israeli airstrike on a building in Qatar.
His Qatari counterpart welcomed Djibouti’s support and reaffirmed his government’s commitment to “sustainably consolidating” the partnership.
ADI said Djibouti’s Ambassador has to Qatar been tasked with ensuring follow-up on the projects discussed.
The meeting is part of a series of high-level talks that Minister Bahdon has held in Doha, which ADI described as the shared determination of both countries to reinforce ties in communications and information technology.
