Ali-Sabih, Djibouti(Mogadishu24)-Djibouti Police forces have captured 5,000 kilograms of illegal Miraa (Khat) that was smuggled into the country, authorities confirmed Friday.
The stimulant was intended for sale in the markets of Ali-Sabieh Province. Following the seizure, police destroyed the Miraa in a public setting, pledging to continue efforts to combat the smuggling and sale of illegal goods.
The police also issued a warning to the country's youth, highlighting the dangers and negative impacts associated with trading and using illegal substances.
