Kenya, December 16 2025 - KCB produced an impressive second-half comeback to defeat a spirited APS Bomet side 4–2 in a thrilling FKF Premier League encounter, overturning an early deficit to claim all three points in a match packed with goals and momentum swings.
APS Bomet, who came into the fixture riding a four-match unbeaten run, showed their confidence from the opening whistle. The visitors pressed aggressively and asked early questions of the KCB defence, with their positive approach paying dividends in the 21st minute. Phillip Waasai exploited space inside the box to calmly slot home the opener, sending the travelling supporters into celebration.
KCB responded well to going behind and gradually wrestled control of the game. Their pressure told in the 28th minute when Kelvin Etemesi restored parity with a composed finish, forcing APS Bomet’s technical bench into quick reassessment. The contest remained open and competitive, but it was the visitors who struck again before the break. Waasai completed his brace to hand APS Bomet a 2–1 halftime advantage, punishing KCB for defensive lapses.
The second half, however, belonged entirely to the hosts. KCB emerged with renewed intensity and immediately pushed APS Bomet deep into their own half. Just five minutes after the restart, Etemesi struck again to level the score at 2–2, swinging momentum firmly in KCB’s favour.

APS Bomet struggled to regroup, and their resistance was broken two minutes later when Richard Omondi fired KCB ahead for the first time in the match. The visitors attempted to respond and searched for an equaliser, but KCB’s growing confidence made them difficult to contain.
The decisive moment arrived in the 61st minute, when Etemesi completed a memorable hat-trick, netting KCB’s fourth goal and effectively sealing the contest. With a two-goal cushion, the hosts shifted focus to game management, tightening defensively and seeing out the remainder of the match with discipline.
This win extends KCB’s unbeaten run to 7 games and ends APS Bomet’s recent positive run of form.
