Kenya, 17 November 2025 - MyCredit Limited has formalised a KSh 1.2 billion partnership with Enkisoma Africa Limited in a joint effort to accelerate digital transformation across private schools in Kenya.
The collaboration is expected to significantly expand access to modern learning technology, helping schools overcome the financial hurdles that often slow digital adoption.
Under the agreement, private schools will access a wide range of digital resources including fully equipped computer labs, laptops, curriculum-aligned software, online learning content, and other ICT infrastructure through MyCredit’s education financing solution, Kuza Elimu.
This financing model enables schools to adopt technology without bearing heavy upfront costs, making the shift to digital learning more attainable for institutions of all sizes.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, MyCredit Managing Director Wangaruro Mbira highlighted that many schools struggle to modernize due to limited capital.
He noted that the Kuza Elimu product was specifically crafted to address these financial bottlenecks and that the partnership with Enkisoma Africa ensures schools receive not only funding but also access to reliable, high-standard technology and ongoing support.
More from Kenya
The KSh 1.2 billion investment will kick off with a pilot phase targeting 150 private schools, after which the program is expected to expand nationwide as demand grows.
Enkisoma Africa CEO Sankei Ole Kenga emphasised that technology is no longer optional in education.
He pointed out that digital literacy, access to updated learning tools, and exposure to modern teaching methods are essential for preparing learners for global opportunities.
He added that the partnership brings together financial accessibility and robust tech solutions, ensuring schools can adopt digital tools sustainably rather than treat them as a temporary add-on.
Both organisations say the initiative is aimed at accelerating the digital readiness of Kenya’s education sector, supporting schools as they transition toward innovative, tech-centered learning environments aligned with global education standards.
