Puntland's counter-terrorism operation reported that last night, members of Daacish launched an attack on Puntland forces stationed in the Dhasaan Sarre area of the Calmiskat mountains.
The forces said that the attackers were killed during the confrontation.
While Puntland did not disclose the exact number of Daacish fighters killed in the Dhasaan Sarre area, they did display several bodies they claimed were those of the killed militants.
“The bodies of Daacish terrorists were found this morning in Dhasaan Sarre, the very site where the military eliminated the terrorists last night.”
This incident comes as Puntland continues its anti-terror operation, which is now in its final stages of the third phase. The operation targets militant groups operating in Puntland, including Daacish.
