Puntland to Host Tourism Days in Eyl to Promote Economic Growth and Job Creation

Garowe(Mogadishu24)-The Puntland State Ministry of Information and Culture is gearing up to hold tourism days in the historic coastal district of Eyl, Nugal region, this September.

The event, themed "Tourism and Job Creation," aims to promote economic growth, job opportunities, and community integration.

The celebration coincides with World Tourism Day 2024, which will be observed globally under the theme "Tourism and Peace." The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) has highlighted the sector's role in fostering peace, understanding, and reconciliation since 1980.

Somalia boasts several tourist destinations, with some areas attracting local visitors, although security concerns limit foreign tourism in certain regions.
