Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Dr. Ali Haji Adam concluded a high-level review conference focused on the next five-year plan to enhance Somalia's health systems for the prevention and control of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
The conference was attended by top officials from the World Health Organization (WHO) Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO), various sectors working on NCD reduction, regional state ministers, education unions, private health agencies, and international organizations.
Dr. Adam praised the Ministry's Unspreadable Diseases Program for its dedication to developing strategies that provide quality health services across Somalia. "The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is committed to addressing Somalia's health needs and improving services to achieve national health goals," he said.
The Ministry emphasized its dedication to improving health infrastructure and ensuring accessible, high-quality services for all regions. The five-year plan aims to significantly advance Somalia's health sector, aligning efforts with national development objectives.
The collaborative discussions at the conference underscored the importance of a unified approach to tackling health challenges in Somalia, demonstrating a strong commitment to a healthier future for all citizens.
