Washington(Mogadishu24)-Somalia's State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Ali Omar, addressed the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS Ministerial Conference in Washington, DC, highlighting the country's dedication to fighting terrorism and its broader impact on global security.
Speaking to foreign ministers from 87 countries, including U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, Minister Omar emphasized Somalia's frontline role against ISIS and extremist groups in the Horn of Africa this week.
Minister Omar called for stronger international cooperation, intelligence sharing, and regional support to combat ISIS, stressing the importance of addressing the transnational nature of the threat.
