Somalia, September 21 2025 – Somalia’s Ministry of Defence has said the Somali National Armed Forces (SNAF), in coordination with international partners, killed four Al Shabaab fighters in a complex operation carried out on Saturday in Nooleye village of Galgaduud region.
In a statement, issued on Sunday, the Ministry the raid targeted Al-Shabaab positions and “preliminary assessments indicate that at least four Al-Shabaab fighters were killed.”

The statement added: “This operation forms part of the sustained national and international efforts to eliminate Al-Shabaab and ISIS terrorist groups and to ensure the security and stability of Somalia.”
In the recent past Somalia and its international partners have intensified military operations against Al-Shabaab militants and other illegal armed groups in various parts of the country.
