Somalia, 27 November 2025 – The National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) says it has arrested 11 individuals whom it accuses of being part of an Al-Shabaab network involved in terrorist-related activities.
NISA said the suspects were detained during intelligence-led operations carried out in Mogadishu and parts of Lower and Middle Shabelle.
In a statement issued today, the agency said the network was allegedly involved in terrorist plots and espionage activities, adding that some of the suspects were arrested while in the process of carrying out security-related offences.

According to NISA, the detained individuals will be handed over to relevant judicial authorities for further investigation and legal proceedings.
NISA has in the pat announced the arrest of individuals connected to Al-Shabaab networks, with similar cases presented before the country’s courts.
