Somalia, 19 October 2025 – Staff from the Office of the Auditor General of Somalia have completed a three-day training programme designed to enhance their investigative capacity and legal compliance expertise.
The training brought together more than 30 members from the Legal Compliance Investigation Department, responsible for auditing and monitoring government institutions to ensure adherence to national laws and financial regulations.
According to a statement from the Office of the Auditor General, the training aimed to strengthen investigators’ professional skills, modernize their understanding of investigative procedures, and strengthen accountability mechanisms within government institutions.
the Auditor General, Ahmed Isse Gutale, urged the participants to apply the skills and knowledge gained to protect the public resources, emphasizing the importance of integrity and responsibility in public service.
The Office also pledged to continue implementing similar capacity-building programs to ensure its personnel acquire modern skills that align with evolving financial systems and emerging technologies.
