Somalia, 2 February 2026 Somaliland President Abdirahman Mohamed Abdillahi ‘Irro' has departed for the United Arab Emirates to attend the World Governments Summit.
This marks the second consecutive year that Irro has participated in the Annual World Governments Summit, which will be held in Dubai from 3 to 5 February.

Over 130 countries, international organizations, and world political leaders are expected to attend the summit. According to a press release from Somaliland presidency, Irro will deliver a speech at the summit, focusing on Somaliland's progress in state-building, peace, democracy, and national development.
The press release also stated that the President will hold meetings with international leaders and officials, emphasizing developmental cooperation, investment, security, and trade, with the aim of strengthening Somaliland's relations with the international community.
