Hargeisa – The 14th Cabinet meeting of Somaliland, chaired by President Cabdiraxmaan Maxamed Cabdillaahi (Cirro), was held on Wednesday at the Presidential Palace, with key discussions focusing on the country’s fiscal performance for the first quarter of 2025.
The Minister of Finance and Economic Development presented a report stating that Somaliland’s revenue collection rose by 19% in the first quarter of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024.
The Minister also reported notable progress in integrating the tax systems of electricity and telecommunications sectors, which contributed to improved public revenue and stronger financial oversight.
