Mogadishu, April 22, 2025 – The scheduled Somali Parliament session for tomorrow may be postponed due to suspicions regarding a motion against the Speaker of the House of the People, Aadan Mohamed Nuur "Aadan Madoobe."
Member of Parliament Saadaan Mahmoud Abdi, in an interview with Dawan TV, confirmed that tomorrow's planned session is likely to be cancelled, citing suspicions of manipulation. The MP accused Speaker Aadan Madoobe of violating Parliament rules, which led to the filing of the motion."Furthermore, the Somali Parliament, after Saturday, was canceled, and the Monday session was also canceled, with Wednesday’s session likely to be nonexistent, which is unlawful," said MP Saadaan.

The MP also mentioned that a motion to remove the Speaker of the House has been prepared and submitted to his deputies. The political situation within Parliament continues to escalate, as this is the first time in nearly three years under Aadan Madoobe’s leadership that he faces a motion against him.
