17 January 2026 - Residents of Cadaydheer have expressed deep relief and appreciation following the successful resolution of a recent water shortage that had affected the area.
The crisis was addressed after the Wajir County Water Department installed a new 7.5 horsepower submersible pump, significantly improving water supply to the community.
The intervention was carried out with the support of Deputy Governor Ahmed Muhumed Caato, whose involvement was credited with accelerating the response.
Community members praised the County Government of Wajir, led by Governor Ahmed Abdullahi Jiircaato, for what they described as a timely and responsible intervention.
Residents noted that the swift action reflected strong leadership and a clear commitment to public welfare, particularly in ensuring access to clean and reliable water.
