Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali National Army’s elite forces backed by Jubaland State Dervish forces killed 35 Al-Shabaab militants and injured others after conducting operation at several areas in lower Jubba region southern parts of the country.
Somalia's State-run media said Monday that 7 members of the Al-Shabaab were also arrested during the operation at Muse-Haji, Malaylay, Turdho, Baxar-saafka and other areas in the region, it also displayed photos of 7 and other disturbing images of dead bodies.

The State-run media also reported Sunday that 30 grope fighters killed while about 10 militant fighters were also captured during the operations.
Al-Shabaab militants claimed that its fighters killed 19 Government soldiers and injured 13 others at Baxar-Saafka and Wirkoy areas north of Kismayo city, the administrative capital of Jubaland State two days ago.
