Ethiopia, 13 November 2025- Addis Ababa is preparing to host the 14th International Pulses and Oilseeds Conference on November 18–19, 2025, bringing together leading experts, investors, and agricultural stakeholders from around the world.
During a joint meeting between the Ministry of Trade and Regional Integration and the Ethiopian Pulses, Oilseeds and Spices Processors and Exporters Association, State Minister for Trade and Regional Integration, Abdihakim Mulu, stressed that the event is more than an economic gathering; it is a strategic platform that redefines Ethiopia’s agricultural role on the global stage.
He emphasized that the conference will showcase the country’s rich natural resources and growing production and export capacity, contributing to increased foreign exchange earnings and opening new horizons for sustainable agricultural investment.

The program will feature scientific papers, research presentations, and open discussions among experts from various countries, creating a space for knowledge exchange and the exploration of new markets for pulses and oilseeds.
For his part, the Association’s President, Edaw Abdi, described the conference as a new bridge for direct trade engagement between Ethiopia and the world, noting that it will bring together more than 600 participants from 16 countries — making it one of the largest events of its kind in Africa.
He added that the Addis Ababa conference is not just a passing event, but a solid step toward sustainable development and deeper regional integration.
