Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Al-Shabaab militants on Wednesday morning claimed to have killed 191 soldiers of the Somali National Army's Gor-gor Unit after overrunning army bases at Caad area in Mudug region in central Somalia
Spokesman of Al-Shabaab for the Military, Abdiaziz Abu Mus'ab said that their fighters have taken control of five bases, where three of these bases were under SNA's Gor-gor Unit while the two others were under local and Galmugud State forces.
The Somali Federal Government did not comment on the group's claims so far yet, but Army officials in the region confirmed that heavy fighting between the two sides happened early in the morning while army members were sharing condolence of an officer killed in the today's attack.
Mogadishu24 tried to reach out of the army officials in the region, but did not get them by phone.

The attack comes two after the Somali Government and U.S Africacomand said that they killed four Al-Shabaab fighters in an area about 45 kilometers northwest of Kismayo, the administrative capital of Jubaland State in Southern Somalia.
