Djibouti, 20 December 2025 - Djibouti Police’s Narcotics Brigade have seized 63 packages of cannabis and arrested six people following a large-scale security operation carried out in Djibouti City.
In a statement posted on the Djibouti Police Facebook page, authorities said the operation led to the dismantling of a well-organized drug trafficking network that had been operating in the area for some time and running multiple points of sale.
According to the statement, the network was not small in scale but had a structured, multi-layered organization, expanding its drug distribution locations to increase its reach. However, those tactics failed to evade the surveillance and operations of security agencies.
Police also said that illegal tablets were confiscated during the operation, adding that the seized drugs were part of the network’s trafficking activities.
