Djibouti, Saudi Arabia Sign Key Agreements for Mutual Growth

Riyadh(Mogadishu24)-The Governments of Djibouti and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have on Monday signed several key agreements to enhance economic and cultural relations between the two nations.

These agreements were signed during the fifth session of the Joint Committee of Djibouti and Saudi Arabia, chaired by Djibouti's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamud Ali Yusuf, and the Minister of Transport of Saudi Arabia, Saleh Bin Nasser Al-Gasser.

The Saudi Minister of Transport explained the Kingdom's 2030 vision of building a dynamic economy that covers various aspects, such as industry, investment, and providing growth opportunities for businessmen, emphasizing that cooperation is central to all these activities.

The minister pointed out that trade cooperation between Djibouti and Saudi Arabia has increased in the past five years, reaching 2.7 billion riyals, which is an annual increase of 7.43%.

On his part, the Minister of Transport of Djibouti, Hassan Houmed, underscored the importance of the Joint Committee meeting for the promotion and cooperation of the two countries. He noted how Djibouti is striving to achieve goals in promoting key areas such as ports, transport, and roads.

After the meeting, the two governments signed several agreements to promote cooperation between Djibouti and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
