Mogadishu(Mogadishu24)-Somali National Army backed by the local forces and International Partners killed over 80 Al-Shabaab militants during operations at Daru-nicma in Middle Shabelle, Harardhere in Mudug region and Wajid district in Bakool region in the past 24 hours.
Ministry of Information of Somalia said in a statement Wednesday that the forces killed 40 members of the group near Harardhere while 35 others were killed in another operation in Daru-nicma area in Middle Shabelle region.

The Statement added that six of the group fighters were killed in Wajid district in Bakool region, southwest Somalia, adding Government's commitment to eradicating group's presence in the country through public collaboration.
Al-Shabaab militants claimed earlier that its fighters killed 23 SNA soldiers at Daru-nicma in middle Shabelle and 30 others near Harardhere.
