Kenya, 14 January 2026 - Motorists can breathe a sigh of relief this January following a reduction in fuel prices announced by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).
In a statement released on Wednesday, EPRA confirmed that the new prices were determined in line with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No. 192 of 2022.
The revised maximum retail prices will be in effect from 15 January to 14 February 2026.
Effective midnight, the pump prices in Nairobi are as follows:
- Super Petrol: KSh 182.52 per litre (down by KSh 2.00)
More from Kenya
- Diesel: KSh 170.47 per litre (down by KSh 1.00)
- Kerosene: KSh 153.78 per litre (down by KSh 1.00)
These prices include the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT), in accordance with the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024, and the inflation-adjusted excise duty rates outlined in Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.
