Somalia, 30 November 2025 – The government of Saudi Arabia has delivered emergency food to Somalia, targeting nearly 100,000 people affected by severe drought conditions. The aid was provided through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief).
The Chairman of Somalia’s National Disaster Management Authority (SoDMA), Mahamud Ma’alin Abdulle, confirmed that the shipments have been received and will be distributed according to the agency’s plan to ensure vulnerable communities receive assistance promptly.
The distribution will focus on the regions most affected by the drought.
“This aid will reach up to 100,000 people who urgently need food support,” Ma’alin said.
