Garowe(Mogadishu24)-Ambassador for the Federal Republic of Somalia to the Republic of Türkiye, Jama Aidid Mohamed on Saturday resigned, announcing his candidacy for the election of Deputy President of Puntland State.
"As I am running for the post of the Deputy President of Puntland, I resigned the job of being Ambassador that I holding and serving for my nation. I thank President, Hassan Sh. Mohamud, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and International Cooperation of Federal Republic of Somalia and my colleague in the diplomacy for the past six and half years", Amb. Jama said.
The Ambassador Aidid declared his resignation hours before he received certificate of his candidacy for the post of Deputy President of Puntland State from the electoral team in Garowe today.
