Somali President holds meeting with Chairperson of the African Union

Rome(Mogadishu24)-President of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud held meeting with Chairperson of the African Union, and President of Comoros, Azali Assoumit on the side lines of the Italy-Africa Summit in Rome Monday.

The two leaders discussed regional issues of mutual interest as well as bolstering collaborative efforts towards achieving a future of progress and prosperity for the African continent.

"President @HassanSMohamud met with President Azali Assoumani of the Comoros and the Chairperson of the African Union on the sidelines of the Italy-Africa Summit in Rome. They discussed regional issues of mutual interest as well as bolstering collaborative efforts towards achieving a future of progress and prosperity for the African Continent based on upholding the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of all member states of the African Union", Villa Somalia said on X post.

Somali President continues his diplomatic efforts in engaging with world leaders and international, continental and regional organizations to express his Government's dissatisfaction and rejection over the MoU between Ethiopia and Somaliland, leasing 20 kilometers of sea access.
