Djibouti, 2 December 2025 — Djibouti marked the International Day of Solidarity with Palestine on Monday with a ceremony at the People’s House, highlighting the country’s ongoing support for the Palestinian people.
The annual observance on 29 November is dedicated to reaffirming justice for Palestine and the inalienable rights of its citizens.
Attendees included Djibouti’s Prime Minister Abdouqadir Kamil Mohamed, members of the cabinet, the Palestinian Ambassador to Djibouti, other foreign diplomats, and representatives from international organizations.
During the ceremony, Prime Minister Mohamed reiterated Djibouti’s longstanding support for Palestine and its commitment to the Palestinian struggle for statehood and rights.

“We reaffirm our support for Palestine and their legitimate efforts to restore rights and establish an independent state,” he said.
Palestinian Ambassador Ruweyd Abu Camshah thanked Djibouti and its citizens for their support, highlighting the massive humanitarian impact of the ongoing conflict, including casualties, displacement, and disruptions to essential services such as healthcare, water, and education.
“Support for Palestine is a vital pillar that strengthens hope and the future of the Palestinian people.” he said.
At the ceremony, Djibouti’s leadership reaffirmed its support for Palestinian rights and statehood.
