Adama, Ethiopia(Mogadishu24)-Ethiopia today conducted its first livestock export via rail, departing from Adama in the Oromia region to Djibouti. Takele Uma, CEO of Ethiopia-Djibouti Railway Share Company, stated that this new approach will maximize the use of open wagons, traditionally used for imports.
The initiative aims to streamline logistics, boost livestock exports, and strengthen cross-border trade and economic ties with neighboring states, demonstrating Ethiopia's commitment to enhancing regional capital flows.
