Somalia, 2 December 2025- Somali National Job Fair 2025 officially kicked off today in Mogadishu, bringing together job seekers, employers, and career development organizations.
Organized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the event aims to provide Somali citizens with access to sustainable employment opportunities, skill development, and professional networking.
The fair showcased career opportunities in various sectors, including public service, technology, agriculture, and healthcare.
Exhibitors from national organizations, international agencies, and private companies are participating to tap into Somalia’s growing job market.

With the theme “Local Jobs for Local People,” the fair focused on offering Somali youth access to employment as the country continues to implement its development agenda.
The fair also offers educational sessions, including panel discussions, designed to improve skills and facilitate connections between job seekers and employers.
The event is supported by Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), International Organization For Migration (IOM), UK Aid, and Yikisi, with a focus on collaboration across sectors to address unemployment and promote economic development.
