Kenya, 10 December 2025 - Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen on Wednesday hosted 230 Kenyan police officers who returned last evening from their high-stakes mission in Haiti.
The event took place at Embakasi "A" Campus.
The officers returned Tuesday night after completing their deployment in Haiti.
They arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) to a warm welcome from family, friends, and senior officials.
Among the returning contingent, one officer dropped to his knees upon arrival, exclaiming, “Thank you, God,” a moment that captured the relief and emotion of the long mission.
The officers, who were deployed under a UN-backed security mission, faced complex challenges stabilizing gang-ridden areas while supporting humanitarian efforts.
