Libya, 30 December 2025 Libya has expressed solidarity with the Federal Government of Somalia, reaffirming its full support for Somalia's unity and sovereignty in the face of any unilateral actions that undermine its territorial integrity.
In a media statement issued on Monday, Libya voiced its rejection of Israel’s recognition of Somaliland, describing the move as unacceptable and a clear violation of Somalia’s sovereignty and national unity, as well as a blatant breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

Tripoli urged the international community to shoulder its legal and moral responsibilities by rejecting illegitimate decisions that endanger global security and stability.
The statement reaffirmed Libya's continued cooperation with Somalia in defending the principles of state sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.
