Pakistan, 27 December 2027 The Government of Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s recognition of Somaliland, firmly rejecting any step that undermines the sovereignty and territorial unity of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Israel’s decision constitutes a clear breach of international law, stressing that Somaliland remains an integral part of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
“Pakistan strongly condemns any attempt to undermine Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and unequivocally rejects Israel’s announcement recognizing the Somaliland region,” the statement said.
Pakistan warned that such actions, which it described as illegal and provocative, pose a serious threat to peace and stability in Somalia and endanger the overall security of the region.
Islamabad also called on the international community to take a clear stance against such actions and to prevent any moves that could disrupt peace and stability efforts in the Horn of Africa.

“These illegal actions threaten peace and stability in Somalia and the wider region,” the statement added.
Pakistan further warned against any attempts to forcibly displace the Palestinian people, and reiterated its support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders.
Israel’s recognition of Somaliland has triggered widespread diplomatic reactions, with several countries and international organizations voicing support for Somalia’s unity and sovereignty.
Pakistan’s statement adds to growing international opposition, reinforcing Somalia’s position that any recognition of Somaliland contravenes international law and the fundamental principles of state sovereignty.
